District Seeking Input on Revised Title I Policies
The Every Child Succeeds Act of 2015 requires the review of school district Title I policies. Each year we receive Federal Title I funds to help support student learning in our elementary school. The Monticello School District has met the criteria to qualify as a “school wide” Title I program. This means all staff, resources and classes serving Kindergarten through Grade 5 students are considered a part of the schoolwide team supporting high levels of academic achievement.
Most notable in the new requirements is the expansion of family and community engagement to help support student achievement. We would like your input on these policies.
Just click on the items below to review the proposed revisions.
A word of explanation:
The "Markup" Copies can be difficult to read, but they show both the old policy provisions and the new language in order to indicate how the proposed policies have changed. Old language is crossed out and new language is both underlined and highlighted.
The "Clean Copies" are much easier to read. Old language is eliminated and new language is underlined. This shows how the proposed revision now reads.
