2018-2019 Middle School Student Council
Monticello Middle School students have access to a wide variety of activities that help them explore different interests and develop leadership skills. These experiences help students learn how to work as part of a team to accomplish their goals. Through participation in clubs and other organizations, students are able to make new friends and develop closer relationships with staff members. Most of all, participation in clubs and organizations adds a new dimension of fun to life as a Monticello Middle School student!
2018-2019 Middle School Band
The Middle School Band meets every-other day. Learning to play as full group becomes more advanced with an emphasis on advancing the beginning objectives, playing with good tone and in tune. Students have the opportunity to participate and be adjudicated in the conference Solo/Ensemble and Band Festivals. They have achieved ‘First’ ratings for many consecutive years.
2018-2019 Middle School
Choir
The Monticello Middle School Chorus participates in the WSMA large group and solo-ensemble events. Opportunities for performances are at the two required concerts during the school year, and at various other school and community events. Students usually do a performing trip in December. A trip to see a performance during the school year is scheduled when appropriate. The Fireside in Ft. Atkinson is a common venue for watching performances of live musicals, and also performances at the Overture Center have been attended. Students enjoy the opportunity for an educational and socially enriching experience, learning a variety of appropriate repertoire.

The Monticello FCCLA chapters' program of work is threefold:
to provide service,
develop leadership skills
have fun together as a chapter.
We are involved in a variety of service activities. Our FCCLA chapters support our local food pantry, Green Cares with a variety of food drives and fundraisers, shop for the Monticello Stocking Fund, provide a senior citizen meal, and deliver May Baskets to local senior citizens. Leadership skills are built and refined by taking on the challenge of a chapter, regional or state office, competing in STAR Events or attending a regional, state or national conference. Fun activities are planned for FCCLA week and CTSO week and throughout the year such as a dodge ball tournament, mini lock-in, roller skating, bowling and a day at a Wisconsin Dells water park. We have two chapters; a middle school chapter for grades 6 -8 and a high school chapter for students in grade 9-12.
