Monticello Foundation Awards Scholarships
The Monticello Foundation awarded scholarships totaling $21,300 to graduating seniors at the Senior Banquet on May 22nd. The students submit written applications and personal interviews to secure scholarships from the Foundation. Recipients include (L-R) Lily Baker, Ben Collins, Jenna Sherman, Jaden Zuber; Linn Lederman, Foundation President; Danica Altmann, Natalie Wahl, Brooke Allison, Carson Gafner, and Logan Rear.
Since 1995, The Monticello Foundation has awarded $630,825 to Monticello graduates. In addition to awarding scholarships to graduating Seniors, the Foundation awards scholarships each fall to Monticello grads who are attending college (this year $38,000 will be awarded). Eligible applicants must have 24 earned college credits and submit an electronic application for consideration.
The annual Monticello Foundation Elmer Lemon Memorial Golf Outing will be held Monday, June 17th at Edelweiss Chalet Country Club in New Glarus. The cost is $115 per golfer and includes 18 holes of golf, golf cart, dinner buffet, and prizes or $30 if just attending for the meal. In addition to the annual fundraiser, donations and memorials may be made throughout the year and sent to Monticello Foundation, Inc., PO Box 636, Monticello, WI 53570.
