Monticello 7th and 8th graders spent the day as paleontologists, traveling just outside of Monticello to a rock cut where they hunted for fossils. They found things like horn coral, gastropods, clams, and even a giant sea worm! They got the chance to chip away at the rock to uncover fossils, identify them and create a display of their findings once they were back at school!
