MONTICELLO Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

Meetings are at 7:15 p.m. and the 3rd Monday of the Month 

In High School Library 

PTO is an organization consisting of parents, current and retired teachers who want to help the students and teachers of Monticello Schools.  The Monticello PTO benefits all students at every level in elementary, middle and high school.

Who can join PTO?

  • Any teacher or staff member

  • Any parent with a student in 4-year-old kindergarten through 12th grade

  • Any retired teacher or staff member

  • Anyone who wants to help the Monticello School District

Our Accomplishments Include:

  • Annual Pony Trot 5K run/walk (established in 2016)

  • Annual Euchre Tournament (established in 2016)

  • Annual Envelope fundraiser (established in 2018)

  • Annual Scholarships to 2-4 Seniors

  • Annual $100 teacher grant per teacher to be used for items in the classroom

  • Classroom treats for every grade, 4K-12th grade

  • Daycare provided for elementary students during Parent/Teacher conferences

  • Gaga pit, playground swing and basketball net updates, playground balls and activities as needed

  • Lions Club 50/50 raffle during Monticello Spring Fling

In 2012, we donated $10,000 to Monticello Schools for playground updates

We have donated: a printer, movie screen for the gym, laminator and donated toward an ice machine.

Each year funds are donated to different school programs including:

  • Pony Fund to provide limited financial assistance to students referred by a staff member

  • DARE

  • Canyon Camp

  • Post Prom

  • PBIS rewards for activities in Elementary, Middle and High Schools

PTO provides gifts, hot chocolate/coffee stations, pizza before parent/teacher conferences, monthly treats to show Monticello staff how much we appreciate them and all they are doing for our students!
