Career Pathways: Fire/EMT
🖐️High five to junior Abbie Tway for completing the first semester of Blackhawk Tech's High School Fire🔥Protection Program! This program is co-sponsored by the Southwest Wisconsin Workforce Development Board along with the student's local fire department (📣shout out to the Monticello Fire Department). Abbie plans to continue her Fire Protection🚒 or Paramedic🚑 coursework through Blackhawk Tech during her senior year and to obtain a Youth Apprenticeship position with an EMS service or fire department in the area. 😊Special thank you to all of the area fire departments that have allowed Abbie to job shadow as well.
😊Friday night, December 12th, we were proud to recognize Bank CMG for their incredible five-year, $50,000 commitment to sponsor our Community Fitness Center. This partnership strengthens the bond between our school and local business community.
💙Thank you to Janet Holtz, Tasha Radloff, Charis Trolinger, and Trish Hataway for joining us at center court. The school was represented by school board members, administration, teaching and coaching staff, our athletic director, as well as members of our senior class who have been wonderful users of our fitness center through both athletics and the classroom.

Career Goals in Progress!
👏Congratulations to junior Bastille Aulik on completing the Nursing Assistant course through Blackhawk Technical College, sponsored by a Southwest Wisconsin Workforce Development Board grant program. Bastille plans to continue on her pathway by participating in the Youth Apprenticeship program her senior year to gain more on-the-job training before pursuing a post-secondary degree in Nursing.

More meetings are coming, including our December 10th board meeting at 7:30 PM in the Collab Lab. 📅 Once the referendum question is finalized, we'll spend the spring talking with community members and answering questions before the April 7th referendum. 🗳️
