Kaylee wowed us by weaving an entire backpack out of pony beads—yes, a backpack! Her creativity and craftsmanship caught the eye of Mrs. Bernardo, who loved it so much she asked Kaylee to make her a purse. The results? Absolutely stunning.
Beautiful work, Kaylee—you continue to amaze us with your talent!

❤️What an incredible blessing this year! We have something truly special happening at Monticello Schools - 7 staff members and 1 coach all have children in our four-year-old kindergarten program!
😊How amazing is it that these dedicated educators get to share their days with their little ones right down the hall? And how lucky are these kiddos to have their parents so close by while they learn and grow with their friends!
🤗A huge thank you to Mrs. Street and Mrs. Meyer for taking such wonderful care of all our four-year-olds. We know these little ones are in the best hands, even when mom or dad is just a few steps away. 💕
💙This is what makes our school community so special - we're truly one big family!

🐱We have partnered with the Green County Humane Society for HS Flex and Focus. Today was pet therapy day. Students were about to love on 3 cute kittens who need a home. Students can't wait for next month.
🚌💙A few more pics from today's 4K bus ride...
🚌Today Mr. Pickett and Mr. Brokopp took our 4K students on a bus ride to practice important bus safety procedures. The 4K students did an excellent job!
💙Thanks to Mrs. Street and Mrs. Meyer for helping organize this valuable learning experience and for their dedication to raising responsible young citizens.

🧠🌱📈The middle school has been focusing on growth mindset for our September character trait. So far, they've made a growth mindset wall and had to save Sam (a gummy worm) as a team.
🌻A special thank you to Mrs. Rufer for sharing her creativity and artistic talents with our school. Her stunning display board at the main entrance welcomes our students each day, bringing joy and brightness to their school experience.
💙We are grateful for your wonderful contribution, Mrs. Rufer.

😊Thank You to the Green County Sheriff's Department!
🫶We are deeply grateful to the Green County Sheriff's Department for their generous donation of three 10-foot kayaks to the Monticello School District. These kayaks have proven incredibly versatile, serving students of all ages throughout our summer school programs and enhancing our physical education and health curricula during the regular school year.
While we are fortunate to have a beautiful lake and numerous small rivers in our area, we are even more fortunate to have such a supportive Sheriff's Department that consistently finds meaningful ways to invest in our students and families. This donation exemplifies the community partnership that makes our educational programs stronger and more engaging.
💙A heartfelt thank you to Sheriff Knable and the entire Green County Sheriff's Department for their continued commitment to our youth and community.
