NOTE OF GRATITUDE FROM OUR P.T.O.
Monticello PTO would like to send a HUGE note of appreciation out to everyone who helped make our “Annual PTO Euchre Tournament & Fundraiser” such a success! We had 68 card players, plus over a dozen area businesses and groups donated baskets for the silent auction. Together, these items raised over $2,000 for our staff to continue doing amazing things with students, from promoting hands-on learning in our classrooms to helping fund items for the playground, from bringing guest speakers into our building to getting our students outside of Monticello to explore different learning environments. We are also grateful to the Pink Heifer for allowing us to host our event in their beautiful banquet room again. We are so blessed to live in such an incredible, involved, and caring community!
Here are the donors we gratefully recognize for their contributions to the silent auction:
Belleville Wellness and Chiropractic
Boars Nest
Chalet Landhaus Inn
Comedy Club on State Street
Dirty Dog Tap House
Edelweiss Chalet Country Club
Fairfield Inn and Suites
Holiday Inn Express and Suites - Verona
Ian’s Pizza
Leisure Lanes
Monticello Elementary Teachers
Monticello Middle School Classes
Monticello Tech Ed Department/Tyler Theden
Sugar River Drafting & Design/Jake Heiser
Sugar River Pizza
Swissland Miniature Golf
Ten Pin Alley – Fitchburg
Of these donors, we would like to pay a special tribute to the donation that received the highest bid. The Monticello Pony cornhole boards made by Tyler Theden and our Tech Ed Department wins the “Most Valuable Prize,” so PTO is gifting our Technology Education department $100 to put toward materials for any upcoming project. Continue making amazing things with our students, Mr. Theden!
Last, “Congratulations” to our winning teams of the tourney:
1st place: Darrin Holcomb & Dave Luchsinger
2nd place tie: Brenda Seagreaves & Pat Murphy, along with Ryan Keyes & Jake Heiser
