💼FBLA members visited Edgewood University and heard from business professors about opportunities there before getting a behind the scenes presentation from Boulders Climbing Gym about entrepreneurship. 🧗♀️🍦Finished the day with some bouldering and ice cream on the square. A great day!

👻Quite a bit of our staff dressed up for Halloween and though we didn't get pics of a lot of them, we did get these.

🦹♀️They caught this burglar stealing Halloween candy from our students today.

The Pony Brew Crew, a brand-new program run by our middle and high school special education students and teachers, made their first deliveries today. They're brewing more than coffee - they're brewing confidence, responsibility, and life skills! ☕🐴🍩

The Wisconsin Rural Schools Alliance posthumously honors Mark "Gus" Gustafson as Principal of the Year—a tribute to a leader whose 12 years at Monticello School captured the heart of an entire community. Nominated by District Administrator and friend Al Brokopp, and presented by friend Kyle Luedtke, this recognition was received on Gus's behalf by the Gustafson family, who were in attendance alongside the Monticello School District. This award celebrates a man who made every person feel seen and valued. His innovative spirit elevated student achievement, while his presence at every game, concert, and community gathering demonstrated his belief that schools are the heartbeat of a rural town. Though cancer took him from us on March 9th, his memory lives on in the hallways he walked, the students he inspired, and the community he served. His legacy of compassion and transformative leadership will continue to inspire rural educators for generations to come.

🧡On Friday, October 24th the elementary students and staff united to stand up for kindness matters.
🐎Led by Mr. Brokopp and the Pony, students walked together from school through the heart of the Monticello community.
🎵They sang and read pieces they had written about why kindness matters.
🤗Thank you to the community members who attended and waved to our amazing students and staff. Together we are stronger!
