
💻Third grade did an awesome job of coding yesterday with Hello World! They created and animated their own sprites (characters) with interactive backgrounds.
The Hour of Code, sponsored by code.org, is a fun and easy introduction to computer science for all ages.

💙Monticello Teachers Awarded Over $3,200 in Excellence in Education Grants💙
The Excellence in Education Foundation announced its 2024 grant recipients at an awards ceremony this evening, distributing more than $3,200 to Monticello teachers and staff members for various educational initiatives.
The awarded grants will fund a diverse range of school improvements and educational programs, including:
Classroom resources and curriculum aids
PBIS Awards
Art Supplies
School garden development
STEM initiative support
Book Vending Machine and Educational materials
Canyon Camp
8th Grade Class Trip
We are deeply grateful to the Excellence in Education Foundation for their continued support through their annual grant program. These funds will directly impact our students' learning experience and help create more engaging educational environments.
The Excellence in Education Foundation has been supporting Monticello's educational community through its annual grant program for years and helps teachers and staff implement innovative teaching methods and enhance learning opportunities for students.
