Dear Monticello Families,
I am thrilled to be beginning my second year as the Director of Pupil Services in Monticello. Last year was a whirlwind of getting to know staff, students, and the routines of a new district.
Some personal information: I am a graduate of Madison West High School (1993), but grew up in Dodgeville for most of my childhood. I attended Edgewood College from 2005-2008 where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Special Education and General Education. Currently I am finishing my Master’s degree with Viterbo University. I taught special education for 8 years in DeForest, which is where I live with my family. I am married and have 3 daughters ages 14, 14, and 12.
I feel my responsibility as the Director of Pupil Services and Equity Coordinator is to ensure that all of our students receive an equal opportunity to access education and achieve their fullest potential. We will do that through providing high quality instruction, dedicated staff, supports, accommodations, modifications, and specialized teaching where appropriate. Your involvement in your student’s education is not only valuable, but critical, and I encourage you to contact me or any member of your child’s education team when you have questions, concerns, or would like to share a celebration!
