Hello Pony Families!

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO DON'T ALREADY KNOW ME, HERE IS A LITTLE HISTORY ABOUT MYSELF . . . 

Education: I was raised in Monticello and graduated as a Pony in 1995. I then attended the UW-Madison and Augustana College, majoring in Education and minoring in Geography. I completed my Master’s Degree at UW-LaCrosse in 2006, focusing on how to make social studies meaningful at the middle level. This is my 19th year of being an educator!

Family: I am married to a fellow Pony alumni, Brad Freitag. We have two kids - who some of you probably know - Macey (who is a sophomore) and Drew (7th grader). My parents and brother still live in Monticello as well, so this community is definitely where my heart is! 

Hobbies: My favorite thing to do is explore the world [and then teach about it]! I have had the opportunity to travel through 12 countries so far - China/Hong Kong, Japan, Iceland, Switzerland, Italy, Ecuador, Panama, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Canada and the US. Other things I enjoy doing are scrapbooking, playing board/card games (especially Euchre), camping, boating or anything on the water, attending concerts, watching my kids’ sporting events, or trying new foods and Airbnbs.
